I think it feels like a certain kind of special and brave to believe in things between you know if they could exist or be made real. Like the moments you believe you’re not going to be alone forever as you watch Golden Girls reruns or Sex in the City for the millionth time. Like you could be right on the edge of magic within the eyes and the palms of people who will want to hold you, and deeply see you, and love you fiercely for all of it. All of you… right around the next corner. All you have to do is keep walking, trust the next step and the next. And I think you can create a beautiful life that way, just believing in the next step and the next. All the while holding space for the heartbreak when it doesn’t quite yet come and then letting the hope flood in as it blooms when you remember that there are more steps, the next and the next.
